I built and weathered this Armored Core kit then "scanned" it. A process that "digitizes" physical models into a point-cloud, then eventually a textured mesh.
I then imported the mesh into 3DMax for cleanup and separation into individual parts for rigging and animating.
Next steps involve matchmoving, animation, and comping into hand-held footage. Every process and element was done by me from start to finish.
